About Supedio and PEDIF
This website is operated by Supedio GmbH, based in Dresden, Germany. The following information about the company and its product supplements the legal details above.
The company
Supedio GmbH develops and operates PEDIF, a service for the automated processing of business documents. The company is managed by Marcus Ehrenburg and is registered at the Amtsgericht Dresden. Its focus is on making the exchange of documents between companies faster, more reliable and more digital, especially where documents are still exchanged as PDFs.
What PEDIF does
PEDIF turns recurring business documents such as orders, delivery notes and invoices into structured, validated data and hands this data to the systems companies already use, such as ERP, EDI or accounting systems. In the other direction, PEDIF creates e-invoices such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD from PDF invoices and turns structured files back into readable PDFs where people need them.
PEDIF is used by companies that want to automate document processes without replacing their existing systems, and by software vendors that offer PDF automation as part of their own products.
Our approach
Many companies receive and send business documents digitally but still process them by hand. Our approach is to start from the documents companies already exchange, usually PDFs, and turn recurring documents into structured data in a controlled way: each layout is set up, tested and approved, results are checked against defined rules, and documents that do not fit are made visible instead of being processed on assumptions. This allows companies to automate step by step, without replacing their systems and without asking their business partners to change anything.
Who works with PEDIF
PEDIF is used by companies of different sizes and industries, including wholesale, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, logistics and banking. Typical users are finance and accounting teams, order processing, logistics and IT departments. In addition, software vendors, EDI providers and integrators embed PEDIF into their own products and services, so that their customers can automate PDF-based document processes without a separate solution.
The PEDIF product family
- PEDIF: the core service that turns recurring PDF documents into structured, validated data and e-invoices.
- pedif+: the extension for variable inputs such as email text, spreadsheets, Word files and new layouts, with focused review.
- X to PDF: the conversion of structured files such as XRechnung, EDIFACT or XML into readable PDF documents.
- Data refinement: the enrichment of extracted data with master data, for example internal customer or article numbers.
Languages and support
PEDIF is developed and operated from Dresden. Customers are supported in German and English, and the website, the documentation and the blog are available in both languages. Documents from business partners in other countries and languages can be processed like any other recurring layout, because fields, rules and target formats are defined during setup, regardless of the language on the document.
Working with partners
Besides direct customers, PEDIF works with software vendors, EDI providers and integrators who offer PDF automation as part of their own products and services. These partners keep the relationship with their customers, while PEDIF provides the processing in the background. Information on how such partnerships work is available on the partner page.
Quality and information security
Supedio GmbH is certified according to ISO 9001. PEDIF is operated in data centres certified according to ISO 27001, and personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. Details on hosting, access control, encryption and data deletion are described on the security page, and information on the processing of personal data is provided in the privacy policy.
